I don't know if I can remember the last time it was sunny on Labor day. It may have been last year but it seems that every time we tried to camp or picnic growing up the weekend was always full of showers making it hard to be outside. Well that was not the case for me today. After overhearing at the laundromat yesterday that Coney Island was closing after this season I thought it would be a good idea for me to take a trip out to see what everyone means when they talk about this historic part of the city. It was fun! I am sad that they are tearing alot of it down. We had chili dogs at Nathan's, rode the Cyclone, (which I must say was one of the funnest roller coasters I have ever been on!) , and finally we walked on the beach... it was so nice and relaxing. It was definitely the most sun I have gotten all summer! Hmmmm... I may want to live on the beach some day...................

Mmm... Nathan's! I'm jealous. By the way, I saw Bourne Ultimatum this weekend - awesome movie. The car chase scene through NY is simply amazing; I can't imagine how they filmed it, especially at Port Authority.
What about the scene in London at the train station...can you imagine getting permission to do all that with all those people????
I heard they actually didn't get permission to close that station, so I think those aren't extras... they're real people. (I could be wrong... has anyone else heard anything different?)
Don't know about the Bourne movie, haven't seen it yet. I know, I have a list of movies to see. I haven't seen a lot this summer. Don't really know why not.
Anyhow, glad you enjoyed Coney Island. Remember if you will my experience a few months ago (I blogged about it) when I went down there. Sad though they are tearing it down. Guess they're putting up high rise condos.
